Faiza Angrakha Kurta features the shadow embroidery technique of Chikankari using floral and paisley motifs. It's a beautiful kurta to glam up the festive season and yet keep it subtle. Pair it with silver jewellery and you are ready to attend the most happening Diwali party of the season.!
In its most original self, Chikankari originated as a white-on-white embroidery. Chikankari stems from the white-on-white embroidery of Shiraz, who came to India as part of a culture of Persian nobles at the Mughal court. White thread is embroidered on cool, pastel shades of light muslin and cotton garments. Nowadays chikan embroidery is also done with coloured and silk threads in colours to meet fashion trends.
